ADMINISTRATIVE: What telephone numbers do I call for which services?

Answer: If you have an emergency please dial 911, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Answer: If you have an non-emergency situation to make a report about, please dial (417) 339-9117 to reach the Stone County Emergency Services 911 Dispatch Center.  A deputy will then be dispatched to your requested address to make a report of the incident, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE: What hours is the sheriff’s office open?

Answer: If you have any questions for the "business office" of the Stone County Sheriff's Office please call (417) 357-6116 or (417) 357-6117. From this location questions may be answered regarding Carrying Concealed Permits, Sex Offender Registrations, Property and Evidence Seizure, Report Copies, Auctions, Civil Process and Sheriff's Sales. The fax number for this office is (417) 212-5848, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Answer: To reach the Stone County Jail, please call (417) 357-6652, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The jails' fax number is (417) 212-5930. To send mail to an inmate, please address the envelope as follows: Inmate (Insert Name) c/o Stone County Jail, PO Box 245, Galena MO 65656.

Answer: The Stone County Sheriff’s Office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE: What do I need to register as a Sex Offender?

Answer: You need to bring your previous Registration paperwork and your Identification.  There is a $10.00 fee for first time Registrants to Stone County.  A $5.00 fee for every Registration and every time you have a Change of Information.  The Sex Offenders Registration hours are Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm and Saturdays are by appointment only.
