DSSSF Grant

06/11/2012

News Release

June 11, 2012

In April of this year, I submitted a grant application to the Missouri Department of Public Safety.  This grant is the 2013 Deputy Sheriff Salary Supplementation Fund (DSSSF) Program.  During the course of the past several years, Sheriffs’ Offices throughout the state of Missouri have been collecting additional civil fees that have been deposited into an account with the state to provide monies for this grant.

Today, I received notification that the grant application that I had submitted has been approved.  This grant provides additional salaries and benefits to each deputy working in Stone County.  The ideal behind this grant is to raise the minimum salary for all deputies working in the state of Missouri to a base salary of $28,000 per year.

The deputies in Stone County will receive between $46.16 and $56.93 increase per pay period.
