Press Release

 

On March 6th, 2016, Reeds Spring Police Department responded to a residence at 22707 Main Street in reference to a Domestic Disturbance.  After the Reeds Spring Officer arrived on scene, the call escalated and became a hostage situation.  Stone County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene to assist and after approximately an hour of negotiations the victims were released and the defendant exited with no problems.  Arrested at the scene was Danny William Evans, a 46 yr old white male, also from Reeds Spring.  He was then transported to the Stone County Jail. 

 

Later that morning a Probable Cause Statement was presented to the Stone County Prosecutor and the following charges were filed:

 

Class B Felony         Sexual Assault / Displaying a Deadly Weapon

Class B Felony         1st Degree Burglary

Unclassified Felony     Armed Criminal Action

Class C Felony         Felonious Restraint

Class C Felony         Endangering the Welfare of a Child   2 counts

Class D Felony         Unlawful Use of a Weapon

 

Danny Evans remains incarcerated at the Stone County Jail on a bond of $100,000.00 Cash Only
