Drug Seizure

            On 04-28-16, The Stone County Sheriffs Office and the COMET Drug Task Force were conducting an investigation that led to the seizure of 5 lbs of marijuana.   Further investigation led to a Search warrant at 55 Eagle Drive off of Welch Road in Stone County.  The search warrant led to the seizure of 50 grams of marijuana and 20 sheets of marijuana wax that weighed over a pound. Scales and drug paraphernalia was also seized.

 

            A 63 year old man and a 56 year old female that reside at the residence were taken into custody and are on a 24 hold hold for possession of a controlled substance.

 

            This seizure of marijuana and marijuana wax has a street value of over $120,000.  This is the largest seizure of marijuana wax that we have had in Stone County.

 

On April 29th, the Stone County Prosecutor filed the following charges:

Lisa L. Garrett, a 55 yr old white female from Reeds Spring,

         Class B Felony     Dist/Del/Man/Produce or Attempt or Possess with Intent to Dist/Del/Man/Produce a Controlled Substance             RSMO 295.211 

James E. Garrett, a 63 yr old white male from Reeds Spring,

        Class B Felony     Dist/Del/Man/Produce or Attempt or Possess with Intent to Dist/Del/Man/Produce a Controlled Substance             RSMO 295.211 

 

        Both individuals remain incarcerated in the Stone County Jail with a bond of $50,000.00 Cash Only.
