On Wednesday, July 7th, 2010, Deputies from Stone County Sheriff's Office, Officers from COMET Drug Task Force , Mo State Highway Patrol, and help from the Mo. Humane Society executed a search warrant at 3760 State Hwy 13, Lampe, Mo. The residence was located just south of Pine Tree Junction (Hwy 86 and 13 north intersection) in Stone County.

During the execution of the warrant, several animals and documentation which supported dog fighting were seized. There were 6 adult pit bull dogs and 8 pit bull puppies approximately 2 weeks old. The animals were released to the Mo State Humane Society and were taken to St. Louis to be examined and treated for any injuries.

Arrested at the scene was Jon P. Stingley, a 42 yr. old male from the residence. He was charged with Class D Felony Dog Fighting, under RSMO 578.025, from a previous occasion. His bond was set at $25,000.00 C/S.

Another male, Keith Owens, a 41 yr. old male from Blue Eye, Mo, was also arrested. He was taken to Stone County Jail where he was placed on an investigative hold until charges could be presented to the courts.

On 07-08-2010, both Keith Owens and Jon Stingley were charged with six counts (one for each dog) Class D Felony dog fighting, all Class D Felonys under RSMO 578.025. Their bond was set at $25,000.00 C/S each.
