On Friday, August 6th, 2010, Stone County Detectives, along with Boone County ICAC Task Force and Columbia Police Department, arrested Michael Lester Baust, a 30 yr old male from Columbia Mo.

After a three month investigation, it was determined he was communicating with an undercover detective who was posing as a 12 yr old girl.

Mr. Baust was charged with two counts of Sexual Misconduct with a child under 14 and currently remains incarcerated at the Stone County Jail on a bond of $50,000.00 Cash.

This is one of many individuals who have been arrested by the Stone County Sheriff's Office and the Tri-Lakes Regional Internet Crimes Task Force in a continuing effort to protect the children of Stone County.
