On Thursday, August 12th, 2010, Stone County Detectives, along with Green County Sheriff's Department, arrested Edward T. Resch, a 51 yr old male from Springfield, Mo.

After a ten month investigation, it was determined he was communicating with an undercover detective who was posing as a 14 yr old girl. After the arrest was made, the detectives executed a search warrant at his residence in Springfield and recovered electronic media components which they believed were used in the commission of the crime.

Mr. Resch was charged with one count of Sexual Misconduct with a child under 15 and currently remains incarcerated at the Stone County Jail on a bond of $20,000.00 Cash or Surety.

This is one of many individuals who have been arrested by the Stone County Sheriff's Office and the Tri-Lakes Regional Internet Crimes Task Force in a continuing effort to protect the children of Stone County.
