On October 7, 2010 we received a report from the owner of a tract of land that several items had been stolen. These items included vehicles, appliances, tools and heavy equipment.

On October 8, 2010 the heavy equipment mechanic of the victim, had observed what he thought might possibly be one of the heavy equipment items that were stolen.

The mechanic called his employer who in turn called our office to investigate what was believed to be the victim's property possibly being located. Our detectives and road deputies then executed a search warrant at a tract of land located at Joes Lane in Reeds Spring MO.

As a result of this search warrant our detectives located and recovered the following stolen items: (2) Dump trucks, a pothole patching machine, a track hoe, a gravel plant, one soft drink vending machine and a road grader blade.

Detectives continued working leads and interviewing possible suspects. Information gathered led them to execute another search warrant on October 20, 2010 at 21636 Old Highway 160, in Reeds Spring MO.

As a result of this search warrant our detectives located and recovered the following stolen items: a .22 caliber rifle, a 2006 Ford F-150, a 2006 Gulfstream Conquest Camper, power company tools, a metal cutting saw and items of drugs and related paraphernalia.

Again, detectives continued working leads and interviewing possible suspects. Information gathered led them to execute another search warrant on November 2, 2010at 21636 Old Highway 160, in Reeds Spring MO.

As a result of this search warrant our detectives located and recovered the following stolen items: (8) Rifles, (3) Pistols, ammunition, power company tools, (15) Open vehicle titles along with methamphetamine, "Brass Knuckles" and a jar with while powder (possibly ephedrine).

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested:

Kevin Chambers 05/21/71 M W from Reeds Spring MO, was charged with:

•Receiving Stolen Property - $500.00 or More - a Class C
Felony. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

•Possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or
less of marijuana. Bond was set at $25,000 cash only.

•Theft/stealing (value of property or services is $500 or
more but less than $25,000) Bond was set at $25,000 cash
or surety.

Danny Carnett 02/11/52 M W of Reeds Spring MO was charged with:

•Receiving Stolen Property - $500.00 or More - a Class C
Felony. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Dustin Stacy 09/30/81 M W of Reeds Spring MO was charged with:

•Receiving Stolen Property - $500.00 or More - a Class C
Felony. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Lloyd Hightower 10/15/44 M W of Reeds Spring MO was charged with:

•Receiving Stolen Property - $500.00 or More - a Class C
Felony.
•Possession of a Concealable Firearm a Class C Felony
Combined Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Norma Hightower 07/28/1947 F W of Reeds Spring MO was charged with:

•Receiving Stolen Property - $500.00 or More - a Class C
Felony. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

Detectives expect more charges and arrests to be made in the future, as the investigation continues.
