HWY 13 AND HUSKY DRIVE
BLUE EYE, MO 65611

A deputy was patrolling in Blue Eye in Stone County Missouri when he observed a gold in color SUV fail to stop at the stop sign located at Missouri Highway 13 and East Highway 86 traveling West. The deputy activated the emergency lights and siren near State Highway EE and State Highway 13 near the Blue Eye school. The vehicle came to a stop at State Highway 13 and Muskey Drive in Stone County.

The deputy made contact with the driver. The deputy could smell an odor commonly known to be marijuana coming from the vehicle. The deputy advised the suspect that he would be doing a search of the vehicle due to the odor of marijuana.

Upon his search, he located two (2) large baggies of a green leafy substance in the rear passenger floorboard of the vehicle. The deputy then informed the subject of an active warrant and read him his Miranda Rights.

The deputy collected both bags of the green substance and transported the subject to Stone County Jail for his outstanding warrant and possession charges. Upon the arrival, the deputy asked the subject if he had anything additional on him before they entered the jail so that he would not receive an additional potential charge, the subject stated no, and he did not believe so.

Once inside the jail, a correctional Officer began searching the pockets of the subject and located two (2) blue in color pills. The subject stated they were his Xanax and he had the perception at his residence. The correctional Officer then located an additional pill that was identical to the other two.

The arresting deputy weighed the green substance at the Stone County Sheriff's Office with an approximate total weight of 441.5 grams. The deputy collected all the evidence and completed the paperwork for a lab request identifying the blue pills and a lab request for identifying the green leafy substance and the total weight.

A probable cause statement has been sent to the Stone County Prosecutor.
