OFFENCE: POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE EXCEPT 35 GRAMS OR LESS 

On September 12th, 2022, a deputy had made a traffic stop. The passenger of the vehicle asked to speak to the deputy in private. She explained that her and the driver were having trouble staying clean. The deputy asked to search the vehicle and was given consent by the driver. While searching the vehicle, the passenger asked if she could smoke a cigarette and she was given permission. Before the deputy handed the cigarette packet to the passenger, the deputy opened the top and noticed a small wrapped with a crystal-like substance. 

The deputy then continued the search and located another clear baggie containing some green leafy substance, and a metal smoking device, with some burnt residue.

Both parties were then taken to and held at the Stone County Jail on a 24 Hour Hold.
