OFFENCE: DOMESTIC ASSAULT - 4TH DEGREE - 1ST OR 2ND OFFENCE

A man and wife explained that they had been arguing. The woman explained that she is a nurse and works long hours and that when she has to work late her husband accuses her of cheating on him. The man explained that the woman takes medication because she is bipolar. The man said that his wife had not been taking her medication and when she is off her medication she gets upset easily. The man did admit that he had been drinking, but stated that he did not touch or threaten his wife. The woman also stated that her husband had not touched her and that she was not in fear for her safety.
