PRESS RELEASE

On Wednesday, March 6^th, Stone County Deputies along with the COMET Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 357 OO Highway, Reeds Spring, Missouri.  During the execution of the search warrant Robert Smith, a 71 yr old male, was taken in custody.  The warrant was based on an ongoing joint investigation conducted by the COMET Drug Task Force and the Stone County Sheriff’s Office.

During the execution of the warrant over 5 lbs of marijuana was confiscated along with over $5000.00 in cash.  Robert Smith was taken to the Stone County Jail where he was booked on Possession of Marijuana with intent to Distribute.  Also in the residence were several items of paraphernalia used in the packaging, sales and use of marijuana.  On Thursday, March 7^th, the Stone County Prosecutor filed the following charges on Mr. Smith:

Class B Felony of Dist/Del/Manf/Produce or Attempt To Or Possess W/Intent to Dist/Del/Manf/Produce a Controlled Substance.

Mr. Smith currently remains incarcerated at the Stone County jail on a bond of $50,000.00 Cash Only.
