On January 12th, 2016, a three year old child was abducted from Crawford County, Mo and reported missing to the Authorities.   On Thursday, January 13th, the Stone County Sheriff's Office was contacted by Crawford County and given some possible locations in Stone County.  Throughout the day, Stone County Deputies continued to follow up on leads and at approximately 2 pm located the child safe at a residence in Stone County. 

 

At this time, Stone County Sheriff's Office is working with the State Division of Children Services, Mo Juvenile Office and the Crawford County Sheriff's Office in getting the child returned to its home.

 

When the residence where the child was located there were individuals who were taken into custody on an investigative hold.  Their information will be released later after the prosecutor reviews the case.
