On Friday, January 28th, Stone County Deputies traveled to Belle, Mo, in Gasgonade County with an arrest warrant for a Scott Gene Birmingham, dob 12-22-72.  Birmingham has been charged with 2 counts of Sexual Misconduct and 2 counts of Enticement of a Child.

 

Birmingham was not located at his residence, but was later located  in Jefferson City, MO., and taken into custody without incident.

 

This arrest is the result of an 8 month investigation, starting in June of 2010.  Birmingham had made approximately 16 different contacts by either internet or cell phone to a Stone County Investigator posing as an underage female.

 

Birmingham is still being incarcerated in the Stone County jail.  Bond is set at $50,000.
